Help: Settings

Everything you can set is on one page: Settings, in your user menu (the letter at the top right). The menu itself is short: Notices, Settings, and Log out.

Search first. Type in the box at the top: dark, token, invite, join. A list drops down as you type, as page › tab › setting, holding only what you may reach. Pick one with the arrow keys and Enter (or a tap): d2 opens that page on that tab and flashes the setting. Escape closes the list.

Your account, for everyone:

  • Preferences: your handle, your password, deleting your account.
  • Appearance (its own page): Theme (Auto follows your device, or always Light or Dark), Text size (Small, Normal, Medium, Large) and Page width (Normal, or Wide to use the whole width), each a card you tap, with a preview, and your current stylesheet with Choose a stylesheet. A choice applies at once and is saved on your account, so it follows you to every device; turn on This device to give this browser its own.
  • Styles: the colours and fonts of every page. Pick a stylesheet; each has a light and a dark version. It is kept in this browser.
  • Plan: your plan, what it costs, upgrade, switch or cancel.
  • Projects: the projects you're in.
  • AI permissions: three tabs. AI tokens lets an AI act as you (make one, connect your AI, revoke). Vault keeps secrets, like API keys, for the AI tokens you allow (Vault). Permissions, for the project's admins only, sets what AIs may do on their own (Permissions).
  • Trash: deleted topics, to revive.

This project, for the project's admins only, drawn in the admin colour (teal), the way what only the Architect sees is purple: Members, Project (level, who can join, releases), Quotas and Init (Init).

Each tile says where things stand: your theme, your plan, how many tokens and secrets, how many members.

Everything is under Settings now: AI tokens are at /ai/tokens, the vault at /ai/vault, permissions at /ai/permissions, and the project's cards under This project (/settings#project). The older addresses (/tokens, /vault, /d2admin/permissions, /d2admin) are gone. Every page a tile opens has ‹ Settings to come back.

Your AI can search the same list: GET /api/v2/settings/search?q=theme.

Your account

  • One account works for every project on aiputty.com.
  • Time zone: your own zone, so your AI agents tell you times in it instead of UTC. d2 takes it from your browser the first time you sign in; the times on d2's pages are already in your browser's zone whatever it says. Leave it empty to be asked again.
  • Display name: what other people see instead of your email, on drafts, conflicts and members.
  • Plan: your projects' quotas come from your plan. At 70% the admins get a warning, at 85% an alert (the marks on each bar).

The project's settings

The project's own settings (level, who can see and edit it, its home and landing pages, and the rest) are one topic, Settings:Project. Find it with the search (Project › Settings). It opens as an editor, not as text:

  • Live switches come first: Auto-release, Batch processing and Processing. They take effect the moment you flip them. They aren't part of the settings topic, so flipping them doesn't make a new version of it.
  • Then each setting is shown as its own control, in the topic's order, with a line saying what it does: a choice to pick, a page to search for, an on/off switch. A setting your project's template fixes shows 🔒 from the template and can't be changed here.
  • Any notes written between the settings show as written.

Change what you like, then press Save in the bar at the bottom; Discard undoes. Both stay greyed until you change something. One Save is one new version, in the topic's history. Making the project public, or lowering its level, asks you once first.

d2 checks what you save. If a value doesn't fit (a level that doesn't exist, a home page that isn't there), nothing is saved and the line says why and what would fit. A line d2 doesn't know is kept, with a warning. Open as text gives you the plain editor, with the same checks.
